The Temple of Karnak
Karnak houses the largest temple complex ever built and the Temple of Karnak was the center of worship of the Ancient Egyptian god Amun. The complex consists of three main temples together with several smaller enclosed and outer temples. The
complex of temples consists of temples, pylons, obelisks, shrines, statues, avenue of sphinxes and sacred lakes. The Karnak temples and monuments were built to celebrate the following gods and the living gods who were the Pharaohs:
